The ancient Greek word for “Planet” means “Wanderer”.   Greek astronomers observed certain heavenly bodies moving unusually while other stars were fixed in place and called them πλανήτης, planētēs.  Take a lesson from the planets and wander with Wanderland, learning our own planet inside and out.

We are an educational travel and experiential education provider that introduces learners to exciting and enlightening experiences in the parks, preserves, conservancy lands, biosphere reserves, world heritage sites, bio-gems, and natural monuments of our unique planet.

Fair Trade Travel — We design field education modules for you that specifically support local economies.  Working with trusted families and small professional outfitters that are local to the areas where we travel you can be assured that the resources stay in the very same locations where your course of study takes place.  This is the essence of Fair Trade tourism.  In this way your travel dollars stimulate a sustainable local travel industry.

Exploring Wanderland — Wanderland.org wants you to learn about, to love, and to protect the regions where we offer our field courses. Our programs will guide you on a trajectory from the Western United States to the Tip of South America, learning through experiences and activities.

Educational Travel — Our guides are hand-picked educators: natural historians and geographers and capable group facilitators who will help to bring the lands where you travel to life. Our hope is that your experiences with Wanderland will warm both your heart and mind, both while we travel together and long after the trip has finished.
